Questions and Answers
1. What Height do you mow at?
3.5” during most of the summer, a little lower (2.5 to 3”) in the early spring and fall.
2. How often do you mow?
2 times per week
3. What time of day do you mow?
Usually after work – 5pm
4. How often do you edge your drive/s.w./curb?
After every 3-4 mowings. At least twice per month.
5. Do you aerate in the Fall?
Yes
6. Do you bag your clippings?
Never
7. Do you have a Sprinkler System
Yes
8. When do you water?
The sprinklers start around 4:30 am and run for 1.5 to 2 hours.
9. How often do you Water?
I have my timer set to run every day and I manually turn the system on and off to control the days I water. This seems to work best for me, rather that to try to schedule 2 or 3 or 4 waterings per week. If it’s dry and very hot I’ll water every other day. If it’s dry, but cooler outside, about every 3rd day. Otherwise it depends on how often it rains. I try to minimize my water bill, while keeping my grass healthy and green.
10. Do you run each zone the same or different?
The zones all have different time settings depending on the size of zone, number of hours of sunshine, and other factors.
11. How much time to you run your system?
1.5 to 2 hours for all 8 zones. I’ll change the seasonal adjustment percentage to increase or decrease the watering times throughout the season.
12. Is your clock set one time at the beginning of the year or do you make adjustments?
I’ll make some adjustments to the settings throughout the growing season
13. Why do you continue to use Total Quality, Inc.?
Total Quality provides excellent customer service. We are very happy with the way they stand behind their work. Anytime we have a question or concern it is quickly answered.
14. Have you and/or would you refer TQ, Inc. to other people?
We’ve been customers for 4-5 years and have referred several neighbors and co-workers to Total Quality over this time period.
